IAN IS A TOKYO-BASED VIDEO PRODUCER

I will stop talking in the
third-person now.

Hi, I'm Ian and I've produced some fun YouTube and Twitch projects which have been viewed over 100 million times, and raised over 4 million dollars for charity. I used to be a web developer, and still occasionally make dumb websites, mainly to amuse myself or annoy friends.

Video Production

I have served as a long-term producer for the Abroad in Japan YouTube channel and CDawgVA Twitch channel, and have collaborated with creators including PewDiePie, Ludwig, JSchlatt, and AustinShow .

My primary responsibility on these large-scale productions is managing the complex operational logistics behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs seamlessly from start to finish. If you are planning a production in Japan and need experienced logistical support, please get in touch below.

Artedly

Community, Creativity & Connection

I started Artedly in 2017, initially as a platform to help artists and photographers exhibit within Tokyo cafes, however since 2022, it has become a monthly gathering, where artists of all levels are welcome to share their art with a real audience.

I could not be prouder of the kind, welcoming supportive community that Artedly has become. If you happen to be in Tokyo, you are always welcome to join us at Hibiya Okuroji under the tracks near Tokyo Station. For more info, check out the Artedly website and our yearly 4-day art extravaganza, Artober.

The boring stuff

Prior to moving to Japan in 2010, I worked as a programmer for AIG and the British government. I hold a degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in Software Engineering, both from the University of Hertfordshire.

Before becoming a freelance video producer in 2021, I worked with Japan Rail and was CTO at Tokyo Creative. I also made websites for Toei Transportation and multiple Japanese regional tourism boards.
